The meeting of the National Assembly has been adjourned following the disruption of the main opposition party CPN (UML).
At the beginning of today's meeting of the National Assembly, after the UML MPs stood up from their seats, Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina allowed MP Bimala Ghimire to speak.
MP Ghimire objected to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal saying that a person had gone to Delhi to make him Prime Minister at a book release event a few days ago.
She commented that there is an arrangement to make the supreme body of Nepal's Prime Minister, who is the representative of the Nepali people, by the sovereign parliament, and it is contrary to the constitution and the independence of the country to convey the message that a person or a foreign country has taken the initiative to make the Prime Minister.
MP Ghimire made it clear that the regular proceedings of the meeting cannot be conducted until the resignation of the Prime Minister.
Chairman Timilsina asked for the meeting to be resumed as there was an agenda to discuss the appropriation bill and there was less time to conclude it.
But after the UML MPs stood up and continued their protest, Speaker Timilsina announced that the meeting was adjourned.
