Nepal-India agreed to increase Border security

A joint meeting of the security officers of the two countries has decided to tighten the security arrangements in the border area to control the criminal activities from the border.

The Chief District Officer of Dhanusha, Surendra Paudel, informed that the joint meeting of Nepal-India security officials held today in Janakpurdham has decided to increase surveillance by the security personnel of both countries to prevent criminal activities such as theft, smuggling, drug trafficking, and illegal activities taking advantage of the open border.

How to control crime at the border, how to control drugs, what is the condition of the border posts? Prazia Poudel said that decisions have been made on issues such as taking the initiative to the relevant agencies if repairs are required, searching for them if they are lost.

Prazia Paudel expressed her belief that this meeting is a regular meeting between the security personnel of Nepal and India and that the relations between the two countries are smooth as such meetings are also getting help from the security personnel from time to time.

In the meeting, the Nepal side was led by Prazia Poudel, while the Indian side was led by Arbind Kumar Burma, DM of Madhuvani district. Chief District Officer of Siraha Lalbabu Kawadi, Chief District Officer of Saptari Janardan Gautam and Chief District Officer of Mahottari Vasudev Dahal along with Prazia Paudel and heads of security agencies including Nepal Police and Armed Police participated in the meeting.
