The four-member Nepali team, including two players, who will go to Japan to participate in the fifteenth World Sotokan Karate Championship, was bid farewell today.
Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (Rakhep) Tanglal Ghising wished success to the Nepali team and bade farewell in a program organized here today. In this tournament, which will be held from July 16 to 22, men's under 70 kg Fanindra Prasad Jangam and women's under 55 kg Adrina Thapa will present the challenge of Nepal. Hemkumar Shrestha, the chief trainer and president of Nepal Sotokan Karate Association, is the team leader and Leelaraj Dangi is the manager. The Nepalese team will leave for Japan on Saturday.
