The newly elected member of the National Assembly will take oath on Saturday. The secretariat of the federal parliament has announced the swearing in of the newly elected members.
The swearing-in ceremony is being held at 11 am on Saturday at the office of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, Singha Durbar. Nineteen members have been elected from the National Assembly elections held on January 26.
Out of the 20 vacancies, 19 have been elected and one will be nominated by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the government.
The term of office of the new member will be for six years.
