CHITWAN: A woman was killed and five others wounded in a rhino attack. A woman was killed in a rhino attack at Jayamangala of Ratnanagar Municipality-13.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the incident took place after the rhino entered the settlement from the local forest. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Kumari Thapa, 70, of Ratnanagar-16. Thapa, who was seriously injured in a rhino attack, died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
Five others were injured in the rhino attack. The injured have been identified as Dambar Bahadur Thapa, 78, husband of deceased Thapa, Sita Pokharel, 39, Pujan BK, 25, and Meena Gurung, 60, of Ratnanagar-14.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital and Chitwan Medical College. Their condition is out of danger, police said.
