Panchpokhari's priority is tourism, education, and health

Panchpokhari is also one of the 100 tourist destinations selected to celebrate the Year of Tourism. Located at an altitude of about 4,150 meters above sea level, the natural beauty of Panchpokhari is breathtaking. Panchpokhari is a beautiful destination near Kathmandu.

Panchpokhari Thangpal village municipality is known as the tourist area of ​​Sindhupalchowk. It is special as Panchpokhari is a famous and scenic tourist area. The village municipality is named after him. The development has not been as much as possible. Panchpokhari Thangpal is one of the 12 localities in the district. The earthquake of 2072 BS caused a lot of damage to this village municipality. Village Municipality Chairman Tashi Lama says that there is a challenge as they have to bear the responsibility from that situation.

The second challenge is the lack of manpower at the local level. Lama says that all the work could not be completed as they had to face all the laws, lack of laws, corona epidemic, and floods. He said that some important work has been carried out using local resources. He said that post-earthquake reconstruction, housing, health, education, the building of service providers, and power transmission lines have been done.

Lama said that the road is not only important but also education, health, drinking water, agriculture, tourism, and youth-oriented programs have been given priority. Yangi and Panchpokhari tourist routes have been constructed. Both these unpaved roads are being upgraded. The Panchpokhari ring road is being developed and upgraded rapidly.

Emphasis has been laid on quality education, says Uttam Mani Poudel, school inspector of the village municipality. The earthquake-resistant building has been completed as the physical infrastructure of the school was completely destroyed by the earthquake of 2072 BS. Poudel said that the school is in the process of 'merging'. Four schools have been merged and renamed Thangpal Valley School.

The municipality has started the school Karesabari program. Our Panchpokhari syllabus from class 1 to 8 and my Panchpokhari textbook from class 1 to 3 are being published and taught. Students are voluntarily studying Gumba education under mother tongue education. Chief Administrative Officer Dinesh Kumar Pokharel said that one school nurse has been provided in each of the five schools.

For economic prosperity, work is being done to make the village municipality a tourism hub and link the tourism business with the living standard of the people. Along with Panchpokhari, tourist places include Ama Yangi, Digron Cave, Dudhpokhari, Pemachal Garden Center, Raithaneshwari, Chojyo Danda, Habeli Naulingeshwari, Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa Himal, Yuva Peak, Panchpokhari Peak, and Tilman Pass are being developed. Vice President Sunita Adhikari said that rock climbing and paragliding have been successfully tested.
