Dhaka weaving skills to make women self-reliant

Dhaka weaving training has been started in Palpa of Rambha village to make women self-reliant. A two-month training project has been started targeting the women of Ward No. 1 Hungi with the objective of increasing their income.

Ward Secretary Hari Prasad Bhandari said that Dhaka weaving training has been started under the micro-enterprise development program for poverty alleviation. Fifteen women are participating in the training. Village Municipality Chairman Bishnu Prasad Bhandari says that skill-based training has been provided to women to make them self-reliant by putting into practice the skills learned in the training.

The cost management including machine, thread, the trainer has been provided to the participants by the village municipality. If we can raise the economic level by weaving Dhaka cloth during leisure time along with household chores, women will no longer be dependent on women.
