Gandaki Province Chief Prithviman Gurung stressed the need for political stability for economic improvement in the country.
In his address to the 6th conference of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Gandaki Province in Pokhara on Monday, he claimed the economic sector would not make a leap forward if political instability continued in the country.
Province Chief Gurung said the State should adopt proper policy and enable the environment to attract both domestic and foreign investors.
"There would be an investment and business-friendly environment in the country only with the prevalence of political stability. It would indeed boost the country's economy", the province chief added. "The political leadership and state mechanisms should be supportive in promoting industry and business".
Province chief Gurung lauded the pivotal contributions of the private sector in creating jobs and making the national economy dynamic.
