The government is going to form a high level committee comprising local people's representatives to facilitate and coordinate the necessary solutions to solve the local problems seen in the Bancharedanda landfill site.
Similarly, the government will also form a Rapid Action Task Force with the participation of stakeholders to solve the immediate problem at Bancharedanda landfill site. Announcing the decision of the cabinet meeting held on March 11, Minister for Communications and Information Technology and government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the government was committed and active in implementing the commitments made in the past to solve the local problems seen in Bancharedanda landfill site.
He directed the concerned bodies to immediately start the necessary work for the scientific management of garbage and to construct and upgrade the access road. He also informed that he has been instructed.
Similarly, yesterday's meeting of the Council of Ministers has given approval to sell the land of 0-9-8 bighas in Surkhet district owned by Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited to Nepal Rastra Bank. Also, Umesh Prasad Thani has been appointed as the Executive Director of Nepal Oil Corporation, Surkhet.
As per the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Government of India, the government has decided to form a team led by the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Agriculture Development Division and appoint Krishi Samagri Company Limited as the body to procure manure.
Also, yesterday's meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to approve the publication of the information as recommended by the National Seed Seed Committee in the Nepal Gazette for the purpose of informing the type or variety of seed. The government has agreed to draft a law on waste management, approve a sister relationship between the Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city and the Bilbao municipal council of Spain, approve the organizational structure and staffing of the National Building Technology Research Center and the Federal Secretariat Construction and Ministry of General Administration Management Office.
Similarly, the government has provided Journalist Accident Insurance (Management) (First Amendment) Directive, 2078, Wildlife Friendly Infrastructure Construction Directive, 2078, Directive on providing educational incentive scholarship to the children of civil servants, 2078, Industrial Business Rules, 2078 and Public Procurement (Eleventh Amendment) Rules, 2078 has also been approved.
