Railway service awaiting inauguration

Nepal Railway Company Limited is awaiting the inauguration of regular train services on the Jayanagar-Kurtha railway line.

The Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will jointly inaugurate the railway service. General Manager of Nepal Railway Company Niranjan Jha informed that the Indian Railway Company Konkan has proposed March 1, 2022 as the date for the inauguration and they have sent the same date to the Indian Embassy in support of the same date.

"We have agreed with Konkan and we have fixed March 1 for the inauguration and sent it to the embassy," he said. However, he said that the date of the inauguration has been delayed due to recent political developments in Nepal. "The only reason for the delay is the delay in the inauguration of the train," said General Manager Jha. "We will run regular trains immediately after the inauguration," he said.

Until the inauguration of the railway service, regular non-passenger (dry service) has been operating since February 13. According to the Nepal Railway Company Limited, the Jayanagar train service is being operated daily from Jayanagar to Kurtha and again from Kurtha. In order to run regular trains, the areas occupied by the railway leaks have been vacated and the market has been closed for leaks. The road built by crossing the railway leak without permission has been closed and the gate man staff has been deployed. General Manager Jha said that the railway dry service has been launched to solve the problems such as four-legged animals, human movement and impassable roads.

The engine and bogie of both the trains are connected to the same for operation. One engine is connected at the front and another at the rear. According to the Nepal Railway Company, 60 Nepali and 14 Indian employees have been deployed since today. It has been decided that 26 employees will come from CRPL Company of India. General Manager Jha said that 14 Indian employees have already arrived and the rest will come after the inauguration. The first 15 days after the inauguration of the train, the train will run once and for once, and then the train will run up to 2-3 times a day depending on the pressure and needs of passengers, said General Manager Jha.

Janakandani of Dhanusha was brought from Jayanagar to Janakpur with two sets of trains purchased from the Indian Company Corporation at a cost of Rs 84,65,000. Tripal has been parked in Inaruwa of the village municipality. The new general manager of Nepal Railway Company, Niranjan Jha, has given confidence to the locals.

The train can carry up to 1,200 to 1,300 passengers standing and standing. As it is a passenger train, only passenger bags and general luggage can be kept in it. During the Rana period in Nepal.
