The government has recommended to President Ramchandra Paudel to grant amnesty to Nagarik unmukti Party leader Resham Chaudhary.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Sunday at the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers at Singhdarbar has decided to recommend amnesty and release of imprisonment to the people who are living in captivity including leader Chaudhary.
Communication and Information Technology Minister Rekha Sharma informed about the decision of the Cabinet and said that on the occasion of the Republic Day, leader Chaudhary's remaining sentence is recommended to be amnesty.
