Minister of Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said that the funds provided by the government to the media for public welfare advertisements will not be stopped.
Receiving a memorandum from the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Valley Province Committee today, she promised to provide funds for public welfare advertisements at any cost.
Also, the government spokesperson, Minister Sharma said the funds will come from the Ministry of Finance, and even if not the ministry will provide the funds through internal arrangement. Minister Sharma made it clear that the government has no intention of stopping public welfare advertisements.
On the occasion, FNJ General Secretary Roshan Puri, Senior Journalist Damodar Duwadi, Provincial Chair Srijan Jha, and General Secretary Tenis Roka were present.
