The Transportation Management Office, Janakpurdham, Dhanusha has collected more than Rs. 289.3 million in the first six months of the current Fiscal Year 2078/79.
The revenue has been collected from the registration of new vehicles, renewal, and distribution of driver's licenses from July to December of the current fiscal year said office chief Birendra Kumar Sah. In the first six months of the current fiscal year, Rs. 201.36 million has been collected from vehicle tax, Rs. 85.56 million from driver's license distribution and Rs. 23.68 million from income tax.
Similarly, 7,003 motorcycles, 306 tractors, and 8,000 new vehicles were registered in the current fiscal year, said Shah. The office had collected revenue of Rs. 202.82 million in the first six months of FY 2077/78.
