Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden urged the government to lay emphasis on good governance, development and public service.
In his address to the RPP Gandaki province level plenary meeting and frontline cadres' meet at Pokhara on Tuesday, he said, "We have changed the governance system of the country but failed to transform the lives of the people".
Politics has developed as an industry in Nepal, he said, stressing the need to probe corruption done in any time period. "I took big decisions when I assumed the position of Energy Minister of the country. But, I did not misappropriate a single penny".
He further asserted that doing corruption was like sucking blood of mother Nepal.
Talking to media on the occasion, Lingden said RPP would not join the government immediately.
