A Nepali parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota has left for Azerbaijan to attend the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network conference to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The program will run from June 30 to July 2. Member of the House of Representatives Pushpa Bhushal and Member of the National Assembly Ram Chandra Rai are also included as deligation members.
Speaker Sapkota is scheduled to address on behalf of Nepal the need and importance of the Non-Aligned Movement and the enhanced cooperation between the parliaments of the parties to this campaign. The conference is scheduled to ratify the Statute on Working Modalities of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network and issue the Baku Declaration.
During the conference, Speaker Sapkota is scheduled to meet high-ranking officials of different countries, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
