A technical team has been deployed to control the tiger attacks in the Raptisonari village area of Banke. The team from Chitwan reached Raptipari on Monday evening, said Dadilal Kandel, chief of Division One Office, Banke.
According to him, the team has three technical staff reached Fatehpur of Raptisonari village to control the tiger. According to Kandel, head of the Division Forest Office, Banke, a technical team has been deployed to control the tigers by setting up a camp at the Sub-Divisional Forest Office at Memanpur in Fatehpur.
The technical team will be assisted by staff from Division Forest Office and Banke National Parks Office, armed forest rangers and Nepal Army. Banke National Park has been mobilizing staff and security personnel along with two elephants in the Raptipari area for the past four days to monitor the tigers.
The locals of Raptiparika are terrified as the tiger attacks are increasing. Chandni Tharu, 29, of Raptisonari-6, Fatehpur, and Leela Bista, 53, of Rapti Sonari-4, Persona, were killed on Saturday. Four people have been killed in three months in Banke district due to tiger attack.
