CPN (UML) candidate has won for the post of chairman and vice-chairman of Chhatrakot village municipality of Gulmi district. On behalf of UML, Ram Prasad Pandey got elected with 6,586 votes while his nearest rival Anantram Poudel of Nepali Congress got 5,945 votes.
UML's Savitra Gyawali was elected vice-chairperson with 6,472 votes while her nearest rival Guman Singh Pun Magar of Rastriya Janamorcha got 5,124 votes. In Chhatrakot, the five-party alliance against UML. In wards 1, 2 and 5 of the six wards of the municipality, Congress has won while UML has won in wards 3, 4 and 6.
Similarly, Tikaram Pandey of UML has been elected as the chairperson of Satyavati municipality. He received 6,267 votes while his nearest rival Congress got 5,611 votes. UML's Niramaya again won the election with 6,224 votes. His nearest rival Tej Kumari Thapa of the Nepali Congress polled 5,561 votes. Out of the eight wards of Satyavati, UML has won in five wards, Congress in two wards and Maoist Center in one ward.
