The printing of ballot papers for the local level election to be held on April 12 will start today.
At a regular press meet organized by the Election Commission, spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel said that the printing of ballot papers required for the election would start from today after the decision of the Election Commission. He informed that a total of 19.4 million ballot papers of 77 types are being printed.
The commission has already printed 180,000 sample ballot papers to facilitate political parties in the election campaign and voter education. On the basis of the official letter of the political party, it was informed that the voter list can be obtained from the commission by paying Rs. 5,000.
Based on the letter of the concerned party from the district or the request of the candidate, there is an arrangement to get an electronic copy of the voting list from the concerned district election office by paying Rs. 3,000 for the district level, Rs. 1,000 at the municipal level, Rs. 500 per ward. It was informed on the occasion that the Election and Voter Education Guide, Election Training Guide, Voting Guide, and Vote Counting Guide have been passed by the Commission and are being implemented.
