Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba have said that the alliance is a national necessity.
Addressing a massive election rally organized by the five-party alliance in Pokhara today, he said the alliance should be strengthened.
Stating that the alliance is most needed for the Congress, he said, "What was our condition before the formation of the alliance? Today, there is a government led by the Congress and all the parties are sitting together." Stating that there is no room for doubt in the alliance, he said that CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal and the coalition parties have generously supported the Nepali Congress.
He said that the coalition has given the leadership of three out of six metropolises to the Nepali Congress.
Prime Minister Deuba urged to make the alliance victorious not only in the metropolis but in every municipality. He stressed that the Congress cadres should work harder than the other parties of the alliance to make the alliance victorious.
