Constitutional responsibility are the guiding principle

President Ramchandra Paudel has said that his guiding principle will be the constitutional responsibility to promote Nepal's national unity, protect independence, follow and protect the constitution.

President Paudel said, "I want to assure you that I will be aware of the work, duties and rights given to the President by the Constitution because I have been given the opportunity to participate in the process of making the Constitution. I pledge to always be aware of what the current constitution guides the nation of Nepal. Mentioning that periodic elections are the lifeblood of democracy, he congratulated and thanked everyone for the successful completion of the presidential and vice-presidential elections in Nepal, from the local level, the House of Representatives, the Provincial Assembly.

"At this critical moment, I offer my heartfelt tributes to the martyrs and veterans who played an important role in bringing the country to this point. I would like to make it clear that following and protecting the constitution will be the main responsibility and duty from now on. I am always aware of the behavior and work style expected by the Nepali people from the President of the Republic of Nepal and I will continue to be so in the future", he said.

President Paudel has vowed to remain committed to fairness, neutrality and compliance with the law while being aware that the role played by the presidential institution will affect the practice of the constitution and governance system. Mentioning that the constitution has given unlimited rights to all the people of Nepal, he said that it is the ultimate duty of everyone to give stability to the nation by building it. He said that it will not be easy for Nepal to experience new experiments.

President Paudel stressed that everyone should be aware of the fact that when the elected people's representatives run the government without disregarding the spirit and spirit of the constitution and laws, not only individuals but also the citizens' faith and trust in the institutions will be lost. He said that if the democratic institutions are not strong and law-abiding in the democratic governance system, citizens' trust in such institutions may be lost and distaste for the system may arise, so it is necessary for everyone to be aware of this.

President Paudel said, "There are still many challenges in the country. After the Covid-19 epidemic, the effects of the global economic slowdown have started to be seen in Nepal as well. I have seen the need for national consensus and national unity on matters such as the management of transitional justice, mitigation of the effects of economic and climate change, and protection of political achievements.

He mentioned that if we do not pay attention to the rapid economic and social transformation while making use of the political achievements, it is necessary to be serious about the fact that the achievements may be hit. President Paudel said that the way forward is sustainable peace, development, good governance and prosperity, and he expected the positive role of the federal government, the federal parliament, the state government and the members of the state assembly. He expressed his belief that everyone's attention should be paid to the desire and aspirations of the people through the proper distribution of the obtained returns by getting the highest returns in cooperation with the federal, state and local levels as well as the private sector.

He said that it is necessary for everyone to be united by making a history of finding easy solutions to problems even in difficult times through reconciliation and national unity. According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Nepal, President Paudel thanked all the members of the Federal Parliament and the members of the Provincial Assembly for electing him as the third President of the Republic of Nepal.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister, Federal MP, Provincial Chief Minister, Provincial Assembly members and others participated in the ceremony. On that occasion, President Paudel organized a tea party in honor of the invited guests.
