The direct counting of votes for Kavrepalanchok Member of the House of Representatives District No. 1 and the State Assembly 'A' and 'B' under it has started today. According to the election office, the ballot boxes arrived at Panauti on Monday afternoon due to geographical difficulties. The all-party meeting decided to count the votes of the House of Representatives and the provincial assembly members simultaneously, and the counting of votes was delayed by constructing the required place for the counting of votes.
Durga Prasad Khanal, Election Officer of Zone No. 1, said that the counting of votes started at 9:00 am in the hall of the office of Panauti Municipality. According to him, the counting of votes for the members of the House of Representatives has started from Khanikhola Rural Municipality-6 of Region No. 1. Similarly, the counting of votes has started from Namobuddha municipality-5 for the provincial assembly member 1 (a) and the counting of votes has started from Khanikhola rural municipality-1 for the provincial assembly member (b), the office said.
