The meeting of the Central Secretariat of the CPN (Unified Socialist Party) has decided to focus all its power on the election. A meeting chaired by party president Madhav Kumar Nepal yesterday urged all members of the five-party alliance to unite and participate in the election.
Welcoming the announcement of the date of local level election on May 13, the meeting has decided to thank the government and the political parties involved in the alliance for suggesting the date.
As next Nepali year is the election year, the meeting has called upon all the leaders and cadres to be active for the victory of the party in the local level election. A statement issued by the party's general secretary Dr Beduram Bhusal after the meeting emphasized that the election was the highest exercise of democracy and that leaders and cadres should concentrate all their efforts to be the best through elections.
"While maintaining the unity of the coalition, the power of the coalition must be fully concentrated in the elections," the statement said.
