Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba who will be appointed as the prime minister of the country today as per the verdict of the Supreme Court on Monday will likely form a Cabinet with only three ministers for the time being.
While holding talks with leaders of the parties who will be joining the government, Deuba made a proposal to form a Council of Ministers with only three members. He will likely appoint a minister each from Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre) and the Upendra Yadav-led faction of Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal.
Since there is a constitutional provision that the prime minister has to win the vote of confidence in the House of Representatives within 30 days of being appointed to the post Deuba does not want to form a full Cabinet till then.
