Nara Bahadur Pun of the Rashtriya Janamorcha, the common candidate of the five-party alliance, has won the mayor post in the local election in Jaimini Municipality of Baglung district. Pun secured 8,755 votes whereas his closest competitor Leela Rana of the CPN (UML) got 2,873 votes.
Similarly, Harihar Sharma of the Nepali Congress, who is the common candidate from the five-party alliance, has been elected the deputy mayor. He bagged 9,173 votes while his closest competitor Usha Poudel of the CPN (UML) polled 2,636 votes.
Bishnu Prasad Acharya of the Nepali Congress has been elected the ward chairman of ward number 1, Prem Sapkota of ward 2, Krishna Bahadur Bhujel of CPN (Maoist Center) the ward chair of ward number 3, Chakra Bahadur Thapa of CPN (Unified Socialist) as the chairman of ward number 4 and Thag Bahadur Chhetri of Nepali Congress as the ward chairman of ward number 5.
Similarly, Krishna Thapa of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected the ward chair in ward number 6, Kendra Rasaili of the Nepali Congress in ward number 7, Bimal Shreesha in ward number 8, Sandeep Thapa of the UML in ward number 9 and Shree Prasad Thapa of Rastriya Janamorcha in ward number 10
