The Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP) is making final preparations to join the government. The party is likely to join the government as according to the party Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been addressing the issues put forward by the party.
It has been reported that if JSP does join the government then it could be provided seven ministerial berths.
PM Oli is trying to convince JSP to join the government and also fill the seven vacant ministries by appointing members of JSP.
According to the Constitution, the Cabinet can comprise of only 25 ministers. It has been learnt that JSP is seeking eight ministerial appointments and two posts for state ministers. However, there are only seven ministries vacant at the moment. As per a source, Mahanta Thakur, Chairperson of JSP, has been seeking eight appointments to manage internal affairs within the party.
