The Offices of the Election Officers on Sunday provided election symbols to all candidates of the National Assembly (NA) members for the election to be held on February 26.
Prior to this, the final name list of the candidates was released from the offices.
Spokesperson of Election Commission (EC) Shaligram Sharma Poudel said the candidates who fielded their nomination were provided with the election symbols.
The candidates of the CPN (UML) have been given the symbol of 'Sun', candidates of Nepali Congress (NC) have got the symbol of 'Tree', and candidates of CPN (Maoist Centre) have got the symbol of a Sickle and Hammer Cross inside Circle.
Likewise, candidates of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) got the election symbol of 'Plough', and candidates of CPN (Unified Socialist) have got the election symbol of 'Pen'.
Similarly, candidates of the Loktantrik Socialist Party got the symbol of 'Bicycle' while Janata Samajwadi Party's candidates the symbol of 'Umbrella'.
Meanwhile, the EC has issued the election code of conduct beginning Monday. The election code of conduct was issued to ensure National Assembly (NA) members' elections in a free, fair, transparent, and fearless manner.
The election code of conduct will be brought in force to the individuals, state mechanisms, and officials.
