Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the ruling alliance has no excuse to lose the upcoming by-election.
Addressing the electoral rally organized by Democratic-Left Alliance in Kalika Municipality of Chitwan on Thursday, Deuba asked the voters to make the alliance's candidate victorious in Chitwan constituency no. 2.
Likewise, Deuba promised to make minister to the NC candidate from Chitwan-2 adding that the current ruling alliance will run the government for five years.
He also stated that alliance candidate Jit Narayan Shrestha reached political prominence after a long struggle and asked the voters not to forget the participation and contributions of people here in the past movements since 2007 BS.
Also speaking at the programme, CPN (Unified Socialist) Vice-Chairman Rajendra Pandey appealed to the voters in Chitwan to use their sovereign franchise in a right manner adding that a political party without a certain ideology and principle cannot ensure good-governance in the country.
NC central leader Dr Shekhar Koirala urged the voters in Chitwan to support the political parties having a long history adding that individualism is ruling the roost in the country.
Leaders speaking at the programme were NC leader Bal Krishna Khand, Maoist Centre leader Narayan Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Sabitra Bhusal and among others.
