Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is responsible for the chaotic situation that the country has been facing at the moment.

Deuba, in his address at the special session of the House of Representatives that has been convened for the vote of confidence motion against the prime minister, said the government has been doing nothing even though COVID patients have been dying in hospitals due to lack of medical and oxygen supply and shortage of beds in hospitals treating COVID-19 patients.

He further questioned the prime minister on who had been stopping the government that has all the power from performing its duties. He further stated that the government had totally failed to function in the last three years.

The NC president added that PM Oli’s statements about the government carrying out development works were nothing but an exaggeration. He said the government has done nothing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and also for the treatment of those who have been infected with the contagion.

NC President Deuba also drew attention to the scandal revolving around the commission issue which prevented the country from importing necessary number of vaccines.
