Polling has been completed peacefully today in 15 local level polling stations of different districts out of the remaining ones. Out of the 85 polling stations in 17 districts, 28 local levels and 44 polling stations that were postponed due to disputes between political parties, candidates and other reasons, new polling date has been fixed and the election was held in those polling stations today.
According to the Joint Election Operations Center (JEOC) at the Election Commission, there are only 13 polling stations in Bara and Rautahat. Garuda Municipality-7 of Rautahat, Baudhimai Municipality-1, 2 and 9, Gadhimai Municipality-3 and 6, Yamunamai Municipality-1 and 2, Dewani Gonahi Municipality-2, Fatuwavijaypur Municipality-7, Pacharauta Municipality-2 and 4 of Bara, Humla. The election was held at one polling station each in Changkheli Municipality-2 and Tanahu's Beas Municipality-4. Voters who had entered the polling station in Humla's Changkheli by 5 pm were allowed to cast their votes till late in the evening.
Elections are scheduled for May 20 in Sanphebgar Municipality-13 of Achham, Triyuga Municipality-12 of Udayapur and Budhiganga Municipality-1 to 10 of Bajura and Budhinanda Municipality-8.
