Maoist center wins Dudhauli chief

Dinesh Adhikari Danuwar of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected as the chief of Dudhauli municipality and Chandra Kishor Tharu of the Nepali Congress has been elected as the deputy chief.

 Danuwar and Tharu were elected after defeating the CPN (UML) candidate. Danuwar polled 15,838 votes while Tharu polled 14,213 votes. UML's chief rival Laxman Karki got 10,635 votes and UML's main rival Bal Kumari Adhikari got 10,611 votes.

 The defeated officer was elected as the Deputy Chief in the election of 2017 AD. Out of 14 wards, Congress has won seven, UML four and UCPN (Maoist) three. Congress has won in ward no. 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

 Similarly, UML candidate has won in wards 2, 9, 10 and 11 and UCPN (Maoist) candidate has won in wards 12, 13 and 14.
