Actress Rekha Thapa has lost the election for the post of General Secretary of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). According to the public results of the electronic voting held on Sunday morning, Thapa got 1640 votes while Kunti Kumari Shahi of the Kamal Thapa faction won the election with 2008 votes. Most of the candidates from the Thapa's party including Shahi have won the office bearers.
According to the final results of the recently announced election, Bikram Pandey has won the post of open vice-president of the party with the highest number of votes. Pandey, who was included in both the panels, got 2521 votes.
Similarly, Buddhiman Tamang from Thapa's panel won with 1944 votes while Dhruva Bahadur Pradhan won with 1814 votes in the same panel. Roshan Karki also won the women's vice-chair with 1689 votes. Dhawal Shamsher Rana of Lingden faction ewon with 2221 votes and Bhuvan Pathak of Kamal Thapa's party won with 1805 votes.
