Swar elected President of NFTNE

Vijay Bahadur Swar has been elected as the president of the National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs of Nepal, an umbrella organization of transport entrepreneurs across the country.

The general convention of the federation held today elected Swarn as the unopposed president. Swar, who had been the senior vice-president for three terms earlier, has been elected as the president from the sixth general convention.


Deknath Gautam has been elected as the General Secretary, Purushottam Sinkhada, Gagan Roka, and Shambhu Rijal as the Deputy General Secretaries, Gyanendra Shrestha as the Treasurer, and Arjun Gautam as the Co-Treasurer.

Similarly, the provincial coordinators of all the provinces except Prakash Tiwari and Bagtami have been unopposed in the category of taxi coordinator.


Elections are scheduled for the senior vice president, vice president, secretary, and central member of the federation. The election is about to take place after five candidates have been fielded for the three posts of senior vice president.

The election is going to be held after the candidatures of the current senior vice presidents Deepak Adhikari, Harisharan KC, current general secretary Punya Prasad (Saroj) Sitaula, current vice president Ain Kumar Shahi and Kedar Poudel.


Similarly, Sitaula, coordinator and general secretary of the General Convention Publicity Committee informed that the election is going to be held as there are more businessmen than necessary candidates for the post of vice-chairman, secretary, and members.
