The counting of votes of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has reached the final stage. Counting of votes in wards no. 14 and 15 is underway under the local level election held on May 13.
In Kampa, which has 32 wards, the results of 30 wards have been made public. According to the District Election Office, Kathmandu, the results have been made public in many wards and the counting in the remaining two wards has reached its final stage.
According to the results so far, the party representatives have won in all the 30 wards, while it is almost certain that the party representatives will come secure posts of the deputy chief and the other two wards as well. Similarly, according to the results so far, independent candidate Balendra Shah has maintained his lead for the post of chief, while Communist Party of Nepal (UML) candidate Sunita Dangol is likely to win the post of deputy chief.
