PM Dahal commits to developing science & technology

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that Nepal cannot develop without the development of science and technology. He emphasized the development of science and technology in a discussion with the head of the National Innovation Center, Mahavir Pun, at the Prime Minister's Residence, in Baluwatar. "Nepal will not develop without advancing the field of scientific invention", Prime Minister Dahal said.

Discussing that the current era is the era of science and technology, its development has become inevitable for the existence of any country, he said, "The current era is of science and technology. Those who invest and progress will last, those who don't will not.” Stating that his attention has been drawn to the issue of adequate investment by the state in the field of science and technology, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized that the problems seen in the implementation of existing laws and regulations should be resolved and moved forward. The team led by Mahavir Pun, the head of the center, informed the Prime Minister about the role played by the organization in the field of science and technology for the development of Nepal.

Narrating the experience of making Nepal self-sufficient through the latest innovations in the fields of agriculture, education, energy, tourism, and health, Chief Pun emphasized that this sector should be given special priority on behalf of the state. National Planning Commission Chairman Meen Bahadur Shrestha, CPN (Maoist Center) Head of Science and Technology Department Ganesh Shah, General Secretary Dev Gurung, and others were present in the discussion.
