Nepal, which has been eliminated from the Super Six of the ongoing ICC World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe, will compete against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the first match of the playoffs.
America and Ireland, who are out of the Super Six, will compete in the next match. In the group stage match, Zimbabwe, Netherlands and West Indies from Group 'A' have entered the Super Six by finishing first, second and third respectively. Nepal reached the playoffs by finishing fourth and America fifth.
In the first match of the group stage, Nepal was defeated by the home team Zimbabwe by eight wickets. In the second match, Nepal defeated America by 6 wickets and in the third match; they lost to West Indies by 101 runs. In the last and fourth match, Nepal lost to the Netherlands by seven wickets.
The four teams that make it to the playoffs will compete for 7th to 10th place. Nepal will play against UAE on Sunday.
