The Nepali national football team gas qualified for the final round of the AFC Asian Cup football tournament to be held in China.
Nepal has qualified for the final round of the primary round 2 of the Asian qualifier. Nepal was in Group B of the FIFA World Cup qualifier from Asia along with Australia, Kuwait, and Jordan and had stood fourth in the group.
During the World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers Nepal had defeated Chinese Taipei and lost to Australia and Jordan.
