Nepal vs Bhutan: Match update

The sixth edition of the Women's SAFF Championship is going on today at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor. Along with the host Nepal, seven countries including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives, and Bhutan are participating in the SAFF Championship. It is divided into two groups A and B. Nepal is in Group B.

Sri Lanka and Bhutan are in Nepal's group. India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives are in Group A. Nepal will play against Sri Lanka in the second match of the group stage. This match will be held on the 27th of August. The top two teams from the group will advance to the semi-finals.

Today's match which started at 5:30 PM is going on between Nepal and Bhutan.

Kumar Thapa, the head coach of the Nepali national football team, said that they are performing well in the tournament and will focus on the league stage first. Nepal has yet to win the SAFF Championship title.

The Nepalese team consists of Angela Tumbapo Subba (Captain), Anjana Rana Magar, Usha Nath, Hirakumari Bhujel, Amrita Jaisi (Vice-Captain), Geeta Rana, Poonam Jargha Magar, Nisha Thokar, Misika Ghimire, Vimala Wick, and Vimala Chaudhary.

Similarly, the team includes Manjalikumari Yonjan, Priti Rai, Saru Limbu, Deepa Rai, Deepa Shahi, Indira Rai, Anita Basnet, Anita KC, Amisha Karki, Rekha Kumari Paudel, Savitra Bhandari and Rashmikumari Ghising.

Match update:

Nepal 4 - 0 Bhutan

Nepal is leading ahead with 4 goals.

Sabitra Bhandari scored 2 goals, likewise, Anita Basnet also scored 2 goals.
