KATHMANDU: Bangladesh defeated Nepal by nine wickets in the final match of the Super Four under the ACC Women's U-19 Asia Cup Cricket.
Nepal has been defeated by Bangladesh by nine wickets in the match played at the Bayumas Oval in Malaysia. With the win, Bangladesh has secured a meeting with India in the final of the tournament.
In today's match, the match was reduced to 11 overs after rain became an obstacle. In which Nepal scored 54 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 11 overs. Chasing a target of 55 runs to win, Bangladesh achieved the target in 9.5 overs, losing one wicket.
Opener Fahomida Choya scored 26 runs for Bangladesh, while opener Mosmat Eva scored 18 runs. Sumaiya Akhtar also added 10 runs. Kusum Godar took one wicket for Nepal.
Earlier, opener Savitri Dhami scored the highest score of 11 runs for Nepal, who were invited to bat first after losing the toss. Captain Pooja Mahato scored nine runs and Elisha Yadav scored eight runs. Bangladesh's Farzana Ismin, Anisha Akhtar Soba, Fahomida Choya and Habiba Islam took one wicket each.
