A total of 1,143 foreign tourists visited Nepal through the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in June.
The government had restricted the operation of regular international flights in the country from May 6. The foreign travellers who came to Nepal did so via chartered and special flights for which the government had given permission on need basis.
The TIA Office has stated that the tourists came from 11 various countries to Nepal. Among the total number of foreign travellers, 708 were male, 434 were female, and one did not disclose their gender. It also informed that 9,559 Nepalis returned to the country via the Tribhuvan International Airport.
As per data of the TIA Office, there were more foreigners leaving Nepal than entering the country in June. A total of 3,606 foreigners left the country through the Tribhuvan International Airport in June.
