Buddha Air has a plan to operate flights in the Pokhara-Nepalgunj route from next month.
The private airline company providing flight services has planned to expand its flight services to the province level by operating direct flights from Pokhara to Nepalgunj and vice-versa from August 1.
In the beginning, three fights will be operated on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday over a week. Gradually the number of flights will be increased as per the demand of passengers, the Buddha Air has informed.
The flight services from Pokhara to Nepalgunj is expected to benefit the people of both the cities and also contribute to the promotion of tourism opportunities, shared market director of Buddha Air, Rupesh Joshi.
In the press release issued by Buddha Air, Joshi has stated that the flight service will help increase tourism activities towards the Bardiya National Park and Karnali Chisapani in the proximity of Nepalgunj.
Nepalgunj residents could also enjoy the scenic beauty of lakes and mountains located in the lake city, Pokhara, with the operation of two-way flights.
Moreover, the operation of flights in the route will also attract tourists from Indian cities, Lucknow and Kanpur.
