Sauraha is mainly visited by tourists. In addition to this, they also come here for weddings along with big gatherings. As it is located in the center of the country, large organizations hold training and assembly conferences here. Mostly Indians come here for weddings. The bride and groom get married in two hotels.

Hotelier Madhav Duwadi said that Sauraha is preferred as those who come for those purposes can also enjoy the tourist activities. Tourists come to Chitwan National Park to see the rare wildlife and enjoy the culture. There are 120 hotels in Sauraha. These hotels have the capacity to accommodate up to five thousand five hundred tourists. Entrepreneurs say that huge investment has been made in hotels in recent years.
