The letters written on the monuments in the International Mountain Memorial Park in Kakani, Nuwakot have been erased. There is a problem in getting information about the climbers because the letters drawn to give information about the climbers have been erased at the place where there are memorials of various important climbers. Similarly, since the pictures drawn have been erased, it has become difficult to distinguish whose memorial it is.
At that place, there are memorials of climbers including Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the first person to climb Mount Everest, Sir Edmund Hillary, the late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the Nepali woman who succeeded in climbing Mount Everest for the first time, the famous Korean climber, the late Park Yog Seyok. This year, on July 1, a statue of late Nepali mountaineer Prakash Dahal has been placed in the same park.
