Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Suresh Adhikari has expressed the commitment to provide necessary support for the development of bilateral tourism between Nepal and Egypt.
During a discussion program between the travel and tour operators of both countries held in Cairo, Egypt, he said that the government is ready for development and expansion of the tourism sector, which is a priority sector for the country's development.
Likewise, Nepali ambassador to Egypt, Sushil Kumar Lamsal, said there is huge potential for partnership in the tourism sector between the two countries that have ancient civilization and are adorned with cultural and natural beauty.
General Manager of Egypt Tourism Authority, Ahmed Ali, said that the authority is willing to welcome Nepali travel agents on an informational tour.
Senior Manager of Nepal Tourism Board Sunil Sharma and General Secretary of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents Kumarmani Thapaliya made a presentation of Nepal's tourism heritage and Nepal-Egypt tourism potential.
More than 20 representatives of travel and tour companies from Nepal and Egypt took part in the program.
