Nepal sees increase in Tourist

During the two months of 2023, 1 lakh 28 thousand 329 tourists visited Nepal. According to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), this number of tourists came to Nepal in January and February. In January, 55 thousand 74 tourists came to Nepal. It is mentioned in the data of the board that 73 thousand 255 tourists came to Nepal in February.

The Chinese government has opened its citizens to visit as well. Mani Raj Lamichhane, director of the Nepal Tourism Board, said that its positive effects have started to be seen in Nepal. Overall, the number of Indian and American tourists is more.

In February 2023, 2,266 Chinese tourists came to Nepal. In the previous month (January), 1,436 Chinese visited Nepal.

According to the data of NTB, after 2020, the highest number of tourists have entered in February this year.

According to the data, 19 thousand 766 tourists came to Nepal in February 2022, 9 thousand 146 in February 2021 and 98 thousand 190 tourists in February 2020. In this month of 2019, 1 lakh 2 thousand 429 tourists came to Nepal.

Among the foreign nationals visiting Nepal, the number of Indian tourists is the highest. Only in February 2023, 18 thousand 401 tourists from India came to Nepal. American citizens are in second place. In this month, 7 thousand 887 tourists from America visited.

Third place is Thailand with a total of 4 thousand 802 tourists coming to Nepal in February. Britain is in fourth place with 4 thousand 345 from this country.
