Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Jeevan Ram Shrestha stated the Nepali skies as safe.
At the 41st Triennial General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) held in Montreal, Canada, Minister Shrestha said that Nepal has made significant progress in air safety in accordance with the standards and suggestions provided by ICAO.
Claiming that Nepal's score in compliance with air safety standards in the ICAO report is higher than the global standard, Minister Shrestha said that Nepali skies are safe.
Minister Shrestha said that the government is committed to making the aviation sector safe, reliable, and classy.
He said that the Gautam Budha International Airport has been operational and Pokhara International Airport is in the final stage of construction, adding that the government has given priority to expanding air connectivity, upgrading the airport, and building a new airport.
