A proposal has been sought for conducting the feasibility study of the Khaptad integrated tourism project and its long-term plan. The office of the Investment Board on Wednesday issued a 15-day notice seeking the proposal.
The office informed that one could submit the proposal online. Once the proposal is selected, one year will be given for the feasibility study and long-term plan.
The Investment Board showcased this project during the International Investment Summit the government organized in March 2019. As per the project bank details prepared for the investment summit, the cost of integrated tourism and transport infrastructure construction was estimated at 187 million US dollars.
The Board had developed a plan for the construction of a seven-km long cable car from Jhigrana Post of Doti district to the Khaptad National Park office. Similarly, the infrastructures planned together with this were the establishment of two-star hotels, a golf course, yoga and meditation, horse riding, a helipad, and sky diving service among others.
The project will be run in a public-private partnership model.
