Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Tae-Young Park, has said they were ready for the development of tourism sector of Nepal.
During a day-long training related to food, safety and rescue of Korean tourists organised here today, Ambassador Park shared that they were ready to provide support to bring in tourists from Korea to Nepal.
The training was organised by Korea Tour and Trekking Operator Association of Nepal (KTTOAN) with the support of Embassy of South Korea and promotion of Nepal Tourism Board.
He further said, "I am confident that number of Korean tourists visiting Nepal will increase in coming days. We are ready to collaborate and cooperate for the development of tourism sector of Nepal and to bring in Korean tourists to Nepal."
Saying a trend of going for trekking during holiday is increasing in Korea, the RoK Ambassador expressed the belief that the number of Korean tourists visiting Nepal would increase as there are many trekking areas in Nepal and there would be collaboration and cooperation with KOTTAN for the same.
Similarly, KTTOAN President Amar Bahadur Shahi said the training was imparted to staffs of travels and trekking companies associated with KTTOAN on the matter how to make arrangement of healthy food to Korean tourists and how to reduce possible problems that might occur during trekking.
"South Korea is one of the main source countries of tourists in Nepal. The training was necessary to provide standard service to Korean tourists visiting Nepal", he mentioned.
