Students of Nepal Mountain Academy have left for research in Thorang Peak mountain.
As a BMS 7th semester course requirement BMS 3rd batch students have left for Thorang Peak (6144 m) Mountaineering and Research Expedition - 2023. The team of 28 students is led by mountaineering instructor Lam Babu Sherpa.
This is the third academic mountaineering research expedition above 6000 meters organized by the academy for BMS students.
Nepal Mountain Academy envisions becoming a university for mountaineering, mountain sciences, and adventure tourism studies that promotes, coordinates, and conducts academic activities and carries out researches from across the disciplines on mountain places, peoples and practices, and advances both theoretical and experiential learning in academic and mountain environments.
