Finance Minister Dr. Prakasharan Mahat has said that in order to improve the current economic situation, the economy will be made viable by reducing the interest rates of banks.
Minister Mahat said this while answering the questions raised by MPs in today's discussion in the National Assembly. He mentioned that the budget of the next financial year is coming in a special environment and promised that all efforts will be made to solve the problems seen in the economy.
Minister Mahat said that the Ministry of Home Affairs and Finance will work together to reduce revenue leakage.
Expressing his commitment to reducing expenses and reducing unnecessary structures, Finance Minister Dr. Mahat said that the budget will be oriented towards this issue.
Mentioning that the current government is committed to social security, Minister Mahat said there is no plan to cut it.
