Forex: US dollar, Australian dollar, and Pound rates increase, Euro drops

KATHMANDU: The exchange rates of most foreign currencies, including the US dollar, Australian dollar, pound, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar, have increased today.

However, the euro has declined, according to the Nepal Rastra Bank.

In recent days, the exchange rates of most foreign currencies had been decreasing.

Today, the buying rate of 1 US dollar is 136 rupees 92 paisa, while the selling rate is 137 rupees 52 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 136 rupees 72 paisa, and the selling rate was 137 rupees 32 paisa.

The highest recorded rate so far was on Magh 25, with a buying rate of 139 rupees 83 paisa and a selling rate of 140 rupees 43 paisa.

Similarly, the buying rate of 1 euro today is 148 rupees 16 paisa, while the selling rate is 148 rupees 81 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 148 rupees 28 paisa, and the selling rate was 148 rupees 93 paisa.

The buying rate of 1 pound sterling today is 177 rupees 36 paisa, while the selling rate is 178 rupees 14 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 177 rupees 16 paisa, and the selling rate was 177 rupees 94 paisa.

Similarly, the buying rate of 1 Australian dollar today is 86 rupees 53 paisa, while the selling rate is 86 rupees 91 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 86 rupees 11 paisa, and the selling rate was 86 rupees 49 paisa.

The buying rate of 1 Kuwaiti dinar today is 444 rupees 06 paisa, while the selling rate is 446 rupees. Yesterday, the buying rate was 443 rupees 55 paisa, and the selling rate was 445 rupees 50 paisa.

Today, the buying rate of 1 Bahraini dinar is 363 rupees 17 paisa, while the selling rate is 364 rupees 76 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 362 rupees 69 paisa, and the selling rate was 364 rupees 28 paisa.

Overall, the exchange rates for major foreign currencies, except the euro, have increased in Nepal’s currency market today.
